Doing DoA or other intensive farms (keep in mind there's no way you're at this point, not to be mean or anything, just something to look forward too! ^^) with my guild, nets about 60k/hr+. If you do these for about 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, you pretty much net yourself a cozy amount of 1.5 mil (330 ectos) every week. Considering that's only 5 hours a day (4-9) you have time to eat, sleep, etc... and in 3 weeks you'll have close to that "1000+ ectos" albeit, that's reserving weekends for family and other stuff, but you don't even want to know how hard core farmers some people can be (14+ hours a day, 7 days a week, extremely efficient runs = 25 stacks of ecto/month)

If you are looking into simple farming you can find some nice spots and sell gold drops, 7unids = 5k. You can do Kilroy Stonekin etc, just that over time you will get less drops from over farming, Ecto farming in UW dosen't wear off really, but thats about the peak of advanced farming.

You can always do runs too, the most simple and profitable being Drok runs (which will only require a couple of skills and some practice) After simple town to town runs you can do Dungeon runs which people can even pay up to 15-20k for.

There's no real simple way to make money, you need to get used to it a little bit but its not as hard as it seems on first glance.

About capitalism you need to watch out sometimes, you get bargaining skills which actually help you in real life (wow) but sometimes you can buy something and it turns out its just one of those items sold in masses. You need to get familiar with items before you start buying and selling, (damn the person I bought he 13k Drok sword from -- He told me he had 5 more with a smiley face <- evil tactic, works)

Yeah, I fully agree. It's strange to see so many players who say that they need money and still leave their white drops. We should have bigger bags tho, in some long missions it's not possible to take anything without salvaging it.

There are different levels to wealth, IMO. There's no point in being the richest of the rich - I usually think it doesn't say much about a person if they can fap to their asian minis in the Hall of Monuments. Not to mention that to get this way you usually have to get lucky somewhere along the line in order to be able to start participating in trades that will generate good income.

Decently rich people probably got there from a combination of pretty good deals/drops/PvE&PvP rewards. It's definitely comfortable to be in this position because it allows for impulse buying, and there's plenty of money to go around without feeling a real loss.

The last group I'd consider to be wealthy are those who have a reasonably steady income from some form of playing (HoH drops, AT rewards, elite area farming). This is the place you should start if you're looking to make money. All it really requires is that you play with half a brain, have decent social/grouping skills and are open to learning new things .

Also - the gamble on zkeys is almost never worth it. Remember that your trash is another person's treasure, don't be lazy - sell stuff!

Guys, cut the bullcrap...

Some of the richest people got rich by, yes, duping...

If 100 people managed to dupe, 99 got banned, 1 got away with 100+ stacks of ecto's...

Not going to mention names, but yeah, we all know them...

Lol, powertrading xD

And apart from what has been suggested, Pick up all the whites and purps and sell, other than that, power trade

And ID *EVERYTHING* before you merch. The value of the item will often go up by more than the cost of the ID.

For white items, ID at 40-50g and up. You'll tend to lose more often than not below those values.

Someone mentioned not being able to pick up all drops without salvaging, but salvaging can, in some cases, return as much or more of the original value if you are crafty. By crafty, I mean use the common materials to craft rare materials or consumables, or simply sell the materials to other players.

Neither of these tips make you fabulously wealthy in the thousands of ectos range. At least, not for a very, very long time.
